GUARD Act Guarding Unprotected Aging Retirees from Deception Act

Summary

This bill allows State, local, and Tribal law enforcement agencies that receive Federal grant funds to use those funds to investigate elder financial fraud, pig butchering schemes, and general financial fraud. It also clarifies that Federal law enforcement agencies can assist State, local, and Tribal law enforcement in using blockchain tracing tools and related technology to combat these crimes. The legislation aims to protect older adults from financial exploitation and fraud schemes.
